Patrick insists to Maxie that it is not her fault that Robin died. Maxie believes that he should hate her, but he can't go on thinking about what he lost. Maxie's arraignment gets underway and she pleads guilty on all charges. Spinelli goes to Jason's worried about Maxie. Jason attempts to explain Maxie's grief to Spinelli, because he feels responsible for Robin's death as well. Jason thinks that Spinelli should find Lisa's real killer and that way Maxie will be cleared of the charges. Starr wakes up having slept on Michael's couch. Michael ends up comforting her as she talks about her daughter. Starr tells him about Cole having been in prison for killing somebody. As they are talking, Jason shows up at Michael's door. John goes to see Anna at her hotel room where it is revealed that they know one another from his time working in the FBI. John wants Anna's help with Sonny Corinthos. Anna ends up warning him that he can't live his life for revenge. John says that if Sonny is responsible for Cole and Hope's deaths he will make him pay. Anna ponders if it will be over then but John replies that it will never be over after Sonny took away from him his sister. Following Sam's call, Steve tells Olivia that his mother is in a mental institution and goes into the history of her selling him on the black market and then attempting to drug his adoptive mother. Sam meets with Heather at the mental institution and asks her to to tell her more about the day Jason was born. Heather wants to be reunited with her son for the information. Sam shows Heather a picture of Jason and wonders why Franco is involved. Heather tells her that the baby in the picture isn't Jason.

Heather informs Sam that the baby in the picture is Susan's, but it's not Jason. Sam learns that Susan gave birth to twins, but was passed out and didn’t know she had more than one baby. The nurse had wanted one of the babies for herself and Heather helped make it a reality. She continues that the babies were fraternal twins and she chose the better looking of the two for Susan. Sam learns that the nurse was called Betsy Frank. Sam says that she is Franco's mother. Sam ends up leaving without taking the letter Heather has written for Steven. Sam becomes upset as she realizes that the baby she is carrying could still be Franco's. Luke warns Carly about the dangers of sleeping with Johnny. Johnny shows up and after Luke leaves, Carly tells him that Luke thinks he is using her to get back at Sonny. Olivia meets up with Sonny at the Metro Court restaurant and asks him for help with dealing with Johnny as he is blackmailing Steve. After Johnny and Carly enter the restaurant, Johnny taunts both Olivia and Sonny. Sonny ends up taunting Carly about how Michael will react when he finds out that she is seeing Johnny. Johnny demands that Steve gives him the list he asked for and Steve reluctantly hands it over. Kate meets with Ewen at the hospital. She is still concerned about Connie and asks him to hypnotize her to find out what she is planning. Connie emerges after Ewen puts her under again and he questions her about the gun in Kate's office. When Connie becomes upset she runs out of the room and bumps into Steve. Steve is surprised after Connie makes a move on him. Ewen comes out and takes Connie back in the room. Olivia shows up and Steve informs her about Kate hitting on him. Starr is forced to hide after Jason shows up. She listens in as Jason and Michael talk about Sonny and the accident. When Sonny shows up, he warns Michael once again to stay away from Starr. John tells Anna that he is determined to see Sonny pay for all of his crimes. When Luke shows up learns that McBain was in the FBI and has read his files regarding Frank Smith. John and Anna talk more about Sonny in the hallway before he leaves. Luke quizzes Anna about John after she returns to the room. John ends up running into Kate and questions her about the case. She ends up becoming agitated and tells him that she can't help him.

Kate reads a book about Llanview's Viki/Niki and Jess/Tess at Crimson. She ends up becoming really worried and decides that she has to get rid of Connie for good. She hides the book after Jason shows up wanting her help in proving the gun found in her office doesn't belong to Sonny. Connie ends up regaining control and has a go at Jason, who is confused about what is going on. Steve and Olivia eat at the Metro Court and he receives a call from his mother. Steve fells wary after she tells him that she needs to see him. Anna and John meet up at the Metro Court bar and he shows her a restraining order from Sonny. He also tells Anna that he believes that Kate is hiding something about Sonny's case. Olivia ends up interrupting them and gives Anna a letter which allows Anna to give John free rein on the case. Anna quizzes Olivia about Kate after John leaves. Steve goes to see his mother who is pleased to see him but he remains reserved wondering what she really wants. Steve learns that he can help get her freed as she has been declared sane. Steve say that can't help her. After agreeing to read the letter she wrote, Steve ends up agreeing to be responsible for her because he knows people do things they later regret. Sam thinks back to her conversation with Heather about Susan having twins. Sam wonders how she is going to break the news to Jason. Sonny meets with Alexis at her house to talk about his trial. Sonny doesn't want Alexis passing suspicion onto Kate that the gun could belong to her. Sonny leaves as Sam shows up to see her mother but Alexis gets called away. Sam starts to cry as she thinks about Franco possibly being the father of her unborn child. John shows up to see Alexis and asks Sam if anything is wrong after he notices she looks upset. Sam wants John to leave but he refuses. Delores has a fight with Eddie on the phone and then joins a suspicious Dante and Lulu in the squad room. Shawn shows up with a stripper friend who has been attacked. Dante and Delores ask her questions and she shows Dante a badge from the Port Charles history museum that she managed to rip off the man. Dante later confronts Delores about Eddie, who has been doing some construction work at the history museum. Spinelli tells Lullu that he needs Maxie's file. Lulu later suggests to Dante that she goes undercover as a stripper to catch the stalker.
