
The story of Wanis's family after the death of his wife as he raises his grandchildren and writes his diaries. He finally begins to live for himself after spending all his life raising his children and grandchildren.

Wanis' family's ship arrives on an island in Athens. As Wanis' children plan to immigrate, Wanis tries to teach them a lesson about home. When a group of travelers go missing, Wanis calls up a line to form and look for them. Wanis discovers that his ship has disappeared.

Zakaria wants Wanis to get them back home as quickly as possible. Wanis finds a message from Gharib that he took the ship and will return in two months. Wanis and Metaw' go looking for Youssef and Amina.

When Abu Al-Fadl reads about how the island is submerged in water for eight months every year, Wanis discovers that they have two months until the island is flooded, putting everyone's lives in danger.

When Wanis discovers that the canteen has been robbed, he suspects that the island is inhabited. Armed people attack Wanis' camp but Wanis discovers that it's just a prank show. Wanis' family goes home.

Wanis discovers that another lawyer is poaching his clients. He meets the lawyer, Shiraz, who is taking his clients and warns her to stop.

As the Parliamentary elections start, an enthusiastic Wanis discovers that his children don't care about it. He arranges a meeting for his buildings' residents to choose a president for the Homeowners Association.

Wanis tries to convince his family of the elections' importance, only to discover that Sharafuddin isn't a registered voter. Wanis tells Shiraz that she has no principals. Abu Al-Fadl discovers that Wanis isn't a registered voter either.

Wanis receives a gift from Esmat and discovers that Shiraz is not Esmat's daughter. When Wanis meets Esmat's competitor, he grows to respect how principled he is and decides to help him win the election.

Esmat sets Wanis up and Shiraz tries to warn Wanis about Esmat's plans. Shiraz resents Wanis for awakening her conscience.

Wanis listens to people's complaints about prices and the difficulty of life but when a TV channel interviews them, they thank the government. Jihad discovers that she might get fired.
