Season 1

The discovery of a body in Lake Lugano, along with some photographs linking the victim to a stolen Caravaggio masterpiece, push journalist Anna Romano to investigate the mysterious disappearance of her father years earlier.

Convinced that her father's disappearance is linked to art trafficking, Anna attempts to recover the stolen Caravaggio, despite everyone trying to stop her. However, her investigation puts her family under strain and alarms the mafia.

Anna follows a series of financial clues that lead her to a secret network of art dealers connected to a mysterious Duchess. Her discoveries, however, not only undermine her faith in her father's innocence, but also put her in further danger.

Anna sneaks into the Duchess's palace, where she makes a completely unexpected discovery. With her life in danger, the journalist is forced to take a desperate step to save herself; however, the case is far from being resolved.

The forensic analysis reveals some disconcerting details, so Anna decides to return to Lugano to uncover an even more complex conspiracy, made of murky deceptions, mafia debts, and fragments of priceless works of art.

When Anna finally uncovers the traumatic secret that has haunted her for years, her world is completely turned upside down. The journalist faces an impossible decision: protect her family or reveal the truth?
