Series 1

Elly Chandler and her sister-in-law Dee Tate embark on a business venture together as private detectives. They investigate their first two cases: a young woman who wants to get rid of her husband (legally) plays the injured party in order to arrange him getting caught with a prostitute; and an older woman who knows her husband of 32 years is having a fling pretends to go visit her ailing sister so that she and Chandler & Co. can catch the husband and the girlfriend going at it like rabbits.

Dee tries to prove a divorcing husband is lying about his disability, over David's objections. Elly joins an executive dating service to see if a husband really is networking professionally or personally.

Dee follows a film producer's wife into London. Is she really shopping or meeting someone? Elly must decide if she can trust her ex-husband Max when he comes back and begs for a second chance.

A hairdresser hires Elly and Dee to find out if her boyfriend is straying. But they find more than anyone expected. Elly investigates a detective for her husband.

A woman hires Dee to gather evidence of her husband's infidelity but complications set in. Elly tries to find a man's runaway daughter, who does not want to see her father.

Elly pretends to be a mature student as she searches for a vicar's missing daughter, but her friends appear to be hiding something. Dee works for a stay-at-home dad who suspects his wife.
