

In the Royal Palace, Yong Zheng, Emperor of the Qing Dynasty, circulates among his concubines. But trouble arises when one of the emperor's beloved women, the powerful Hua Fei, begins her battle against the new rising star, Zhen Huan.

The Palace of the Concubines showcases endless scenes of betrayal of sisterhood as the women hope to gain power and recognition from the Emperor. In order to rise to the top, they use a variety of deceitful tactics - including faking pregnancy - to survive till the end.

Hua Fei tries to take down Zhen Huan once and for all; however, a twist of fate causes her to lose her title and, at the same time, provides an opportunity for the Queen to remove Zhen Huan from the Palace.
