Kai heads to Portugal for a historic Nazaré swell and in the midst of an epic showcase of big wave performances by the world's best, he faces a wipeout that thrusts him into a battle for his life.
02. Redemption at Peahi
With the first winter swell hitting Jaws, Kai looks to redeem himself after a tough loss in the Big Wave event last year. By his side is his brother, Ridge, who aims to be every bit as good as Kai.
03. Day of days
Kai, Ridge and Ian Walsh fly to Mavericks in California for what's being hailed as the swell of the decade. The waves are huge and clean as Kai pushes the limits of performance surfing in giant surf.
04. Air time
Kai wants to take his aerial game to the next level, so he hits the snowy ramps of Jackson Hole, the perfect waves of Bali, and a wave pool in Waco, Texas, to hone his skills.
05. The test
It’s Super Swell Saturday at Jaws and Kai aims to turn in the year’s best performance at his home break. But a series of physical and mental tests takes him to the brink of what he thinks is possible.
