Akbar, a fair and just ruler, remains blind to the atrocities of his own ministers. However, a young outlaw sets out to teach him a lesson.

Maharani is befuddled when Akbar introduces her to Tarabai and Silotama. After receiving a warning letter from Insaaf, Akbar decides to catch the audacious thief.

In order to claim the reward for catching Insaaf, Akbar's courtiers present an imposter before him. Meanwhile, Insaaf prepares to infiltrate Akbar's palace

Insaaf successfully manages to sneak into Akbar's palace in a disguised form. Later, he notices a precious diamond and studies how well its guarded.

Akbar makes a solemn promise to his subjects and manages to fool the guards to steal the diamond. Later, the identity of the real thieves are revealed.

Insaaf's request for poison as a reward shocks the court. Impressed, Akbar bestows him with the name Birbal and a job.

Akbar looks on as Birbal offers up a unique way to catch the person stealing from Laksmi Chand. During Karva Chauth, Akbar struggles to manage his two queens.

While Akbar orders for Birbal to move into the palace, trouble brews against the kingdom. When Shehzad goes missing, the duo sets out to find him.

Fazal Khan accuses Shekhu of conspiring against Sultan Nigamaksh. With a heavy heart, Akbar imprisons Shekhu while Birbal investigates the truth.
